In 2012, Jeffrey A. Carr, Historic Restoration Specialist, began an extensive 2 year renovation on the home, removing much of a poorly done 1984 “remudeling” which included removal of exterior metal siding, an historically incorrect porch roof, and the closed in side porch. Carr used an original 1923 drawing of the home located in the Kansan to restore the home back to its formal glory.
